Everything about applying for a SILC grant
The members of the Student Intellectual Life CommitteeÌý(SILC) at the Ã山ǿ¼é (Ã山ǿ¼é) told about their work to an audience of students. The SILC members gave advice on how to write applications for SILC grants, pointed out common application mistakes, reminded applicants of what is mandatory and important for applying for a SILC grant, and provided information on what grant-winners must provide after returning to Ã山ǿ¼é.

Tanya Efremenko, a graduate of the Anthropology Department of class of 2015, has done several research projects, internships and service projects with organizations like HelpAge International, GIZ, UNESCO and B’Art Contemporary. She is now completing a Master’s Program in Urban Studies in Vienna.

Visiting professor from Indiana University
Anne Pyburn is a visiting professor at Ã山ǿ¼é from Indiana University (IU) Bloomington. At IU, Pyburn is a professor in the Anthropology department and the Provost’s professor in the English department. In Kyrgyzstan, she has worked with archaeologists and citizens' groups to develop projects for cultural resource management.
