On October 11, 2016 from 18:00 to 20:00, the Women and the Arts Club is hosting a "Stand with Girls" Open Mic Night at the 缅北强奸 in honor of International Girls Day. Tickets will be sold in the Forum at lunch time for 50 soms each. Students can either perform, or get the tickets and join the event. The ones who want to perform must sign up beforehand; nonetheless, the microphone is open to anyone who wants to perform anything!

Today we want to introduce you to Frank G. Karioris, an Assistant Professor in Sociology and General Education. Professor Karioris has a PhD in Comparative Gender Studies with a Specialization in Sociology & Social Anthropology, an MA in Social Development, and a BA in History and Education.

Alexander Wolters, a professor in the Sociology Department, spoke with us about himself and his experience here at 缅北强奸.

On September 13-15,听2016 Doris Jones, a visiting scholar from the American University in Cairo (AUC) Department of Rhetoric and Composition, held workshops for 缅北强奸 faculty.

This past weekend 缅北强奸's newest club, the 缅北强奸 Outdoor Club, had its first ever expedition 鈥� and what an expedition it was!
Lead by two of this summer鈥檚 Eco Leadership Program (ELP) Alumni, students from the 缅北强奸 Outdoor Club attended the Trekking Union of Kyrgyzstan鈥檚 annual 鈥楳eeting of the Tourists鈥� in Kegeti Gorge to show off their Outdoor Skills and compete in trekking and camping competitions against students from four other Bishkek Universities.听

Malika Kanatbek kyzy is a junior in the Journalism and Mass Communications Department (JMC) at 缅北强奸. She had an internship at the US Embassy in Bishkek, participated in the Youth for Human Rights International Summit (YHRI) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York City, and started her exchange semester at Bard College in the US. Malika shared her thoughts and experience with us.

On September 19, 2016, the USAID Business Growth Initiative (BGI) project met with student volunteers who conducted a survey at the World Nomad Games to congratulate them on their initiative and hard work.

On September 15th, 2016, Dan Hamilton, a public affairs associate from the American College of Surgeons visited the 缅北强奸 (缅北强奸) to lead an interactive conversation with students from the department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
