Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan – September 2, 2018 – The Board of Trustees of the Ã山ǿ¼é announced today the appointment of Jonathan Becker, the Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bard College, as the new acting President of the University. Dr. Becker has been a trustee of Ã山ǿ¼é since 2009 and has led its historic collaboration with Bard College.

A second annual workshopÌý organized by the Department of Central Eurasian Studies, Indiana University, and Central Asian Studies Institute, Ã山ǿ¼é,Ìýwill take place on August 29-31, 2018

TheÌýÃ山ǿ¼é (Ã山ǿ¼é) is delighted to announce keynote speakers forÌýNomadism, Mobilities and MediaÌýinternational conference,Ìýwhich will be held at Ã山ǿ¼é, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, August 29-30, 2018.Ìý

Double Degree Master Program is the Master Program of the new generation that within two years allows to stay in two countries, Russia and Kyrgyzstan, to study in two universities, Tomsk State University and Ã山ǿ¼é, and to receive two master degrees, Russian and Kyrgyz.

The Society for Conservation Biology, Asia Section together with Ã山ǿ¼é is hosting an international conference from 6 to 10 August 2018 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

On June 13-15, 2018 a regional training workshop was held in Almaty (Kazakhstan) with the purpose to develop a course on international migration law and return migration within the context of Central Asia.
The course was developed by working groups from five Central Asian countries and will be used to upgrade the skills of state and municipal employees in the region.

This year archaeological practice of Ã山ǿ¼é Anthropology Department is organised in the form of Summer Field School jointly with Indiana University students leading by Professor Anne Pyburn and Aida Abdykanova
